Last weekend Derrick Davis visited LSU with his mom, of course, it wasn't a typical visit - heck, the team wasn't even in town AND they got embarrassed on the field by Auburn.
However, Davis loved what he saw in town, the campus, the people, the food, etc.
He's announcing his commitment tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and it sounds like LSU is legitimately in this with Penn State, his in-state team AND the Nittany Lions defensive backs coach Terry Smith has longtime ties to the Davis family.
Both Jimmy and I got word last night/early this morning basically saying don't count out the Tigers. This is 100 percent another Sage Ryan situation but this time with LSU on the other side this time.
We'll continue monitoring the situation over the next day and let y'all know.
