Walter Young, for those that remember that far back, was in our '97 class if I recall correctly. He was the nation's top DT, and was from Mississippi. He signed, but then the Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him in a really late round and threw some pittance at him, like $10k, and because his family was so poor, he took it and gave up school and football. Pirates really took advantage of him. Sad story all around. RIP Walter, heaven just added another LSU Tiger.
