I personally do not think we will have success in the run game with him. He doesn’t fit the Brady offense. Even Coach O said it, we need to run outside. He doesn’t do that or at least he never has. We are trying to run between the tackles out of a semi spread without a FB. I just don’t see how it works. There was no safety valve for MJ last night. They didn’t use the short passes to the back as part of the run game. I honestly haven’t seen anything that TDP does well in this offense.
The more I look back, the more I realize CEH was equally as important to the 2019 offense as Burrow was.
that said, they need to find that back for this offense to work the way O wants it to.
