Basically just your weekly LSU offensive linemen update brought to you by--Candied Oranges--"When apples just aren't good enough"

Things are trending in LSU's favor with both Marcus Dumervil and Ty'Kieast Crawford at the present moment. LSU was hoping to land at least legitimate tackle prospect to its class, but adding two could be exactly what James Cregg needs for his offensive line unit.

Dumervil may wait until the February Signing Period before making his public announcement, but his signature does not have to come at that time. There is some chatter that Dumervil may indeed sign with someone in December, but elect to announce in February. The schools he is going to be choosing from would like him to sign in December, and may indeed be forcing him to do so. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but then it makes a ton of sense, because this is recruiting and it never makes sense. Just something to keep an ear on.

Crawford has become fairly hard to read, but it sounds like LSU has a leg up here. Texas A&M seems to be the only true competition down the stretch from what I gather. Both programs appear to be closely monitoring his academic situation to avoid a possible wasted spot in the SEC mandated 25-man signing class.

LSU will have to make room in this class, regardless if they end up with both of these guys or not. This looks more like a given than a possibility at this stage. Even more some if they are able to lock up this sought after duo.
