Fans showed up with a passion. In the modern era, all big-name programs have seen their stadium atmosphere take a step back for a variety of reasons that have been well-documented, but its good to see that TS can harken back to its glory years when the need arises.

As sick as Fournette was, the OL (and Grimes) deserve a lot more credit for the impact they're making. Fournette wasn't really touched on any of those long TD runs.

Anybody still think Fournette has been sandbagging a la Clowney?

Crazy as that statline already was, I was absolutely certain that he was going to break that 97 yarder... he very, very nearly did.

Did everyone see that special teams tackle by Devin White in the second half? It wasn't just a hit, he flung that poor boy around like a rag doll. Haven't watched the replay yet - did the announcers mention he was a true freshman at the time?

Aranda's half-time adjustments have been sick and never moreso than in this game. After the opening scoring drives Ole Miss' drives looked like this:

3 plays, 2 yards
3 plays, 13 yards
3 plays, 9 yards
3 plays, 9 yards
3 plays, 0 yards
3 plays, 9 yards
5 plays, 12 yards
3 plays, 7 yards
4 plays, 7 yards

That, my friends, is dominant. Aranda was particularly adept at taking away Engram, who finished with 3 catches for 15 yards - compare that to what he did against Alabama (9 catches, 136 yards, 1 TD). In fact, let's look at some more comparisons to the Bama-OM game:

Ole Miss vs. Bama:
522 total yards (7.15 yards per play)
43 points

Ole Miss vs. LSU:
325 total yards (4.75 yards per play)
21 points

Now we all know the transitive property doesn't apply to football, but anyone would still have to be encouraged by those numbers, especially considering that Aranda doesn't have 'his guys' in there yet and the ones he does are still in the first half of their first year of learning the system.

Offensively, LSU set a record for the third week in a row. Against Missouri they put up more offensive yards than they ever had against an SEC team. Last week they finished with their highest yards per play average in school history. This week they broke the all-time single game rushing record by a back, and Fournette only needed about 8 carries to do it. Hard not to love that...
