The 2023 class is over and we're moving on to 2024 and beyond. Here's a few notes to pass along I've gathered.

I spoke to Miami center Jakai Clark, who's in the transfer portal, and he says he'll be visiting LSU March 24-26. He also plans to visit West Virginia and Missouri during March, and considering SMU, but "it’s down to those 4," he said.

When I asked what he's looking for, Clark said: "Opportunities beyond football and I just want a great environment where winning is of upmost importance. I also want to be able to have fun my last year while still getting great coaching."

Charleston Collins was a hot name toward the latter half of last year with many thinking he could commit at the end of his junior season. Flash forward to today (Feb. 2) and he never committed anywhere but it's safe to say that LSU is in a small group of schools he's still considering. Collins told me last night he's looking at visiting Baton Rouge April 1 weekend.

Another name that is trending with LSU is Texas safety Ka'Davion Dotson, who told me he'll be back at LSU for the weekend of March 4-5, which is shaping up to be a BIG recruiting weekend in Baton Rouge: "(You) know I gotta be there."

Dotson will be at Arkansas on March 11 and then Florida State near the end of March.

Four-star Mississippi receiver Noreel White tells me he'll take a visit to LSU in spring, likely March, but he doesn't have an exact date just yet. It sounds like White has a top three of LSU, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. White played with the Louisiana Bootleggers at the Battle Miami 7on7 in January and he's suiting back up with them next weekend for Battle Las Vegas. He was very impressed in Miami from what I was told.
