that Jadeveon Clowney practiced this summer by stopping CSX freight
locomotives, head-on, every time they tried to pass by Williams-Brice
Stadium. It was only during spring practice, until he broke the front
axle and couldn't find another engineer to risk it.

Good to hear. Esp. after the fact that our LT Josh Dworaczyk held him in check last year after he ran his yap. JC never even got near Mett.

Safe to say the "CSX practice" may do him some good.

SEC Rankings as of Sept 22nd - for the Gator Defense includes.

#1 First Downs Allowed - 11.3 per game

#1 Yards per Play - 3.88

#1 Rushing Defense - 55.3 yds/gm
#1 Passing Defense - 157 yds/gm (6 Ints by 5 different players)

#1 Pass Efficiency Defense - 82.9%

#1 Scoring Defense - 14.7 pts/gm (UF Offense is averaging 23.7 pts/gm)

#1 Total Defense - 212.3 yds/gm

That's good for #2 In the Nation in Total Defense.

At #24, LSU is the next highest rated Total D in the SEC.

Few believed me when I said that the Gator D would be as good as in

2012, and maybe even better, even with the D losses to the NFL. UF

lost 7 defensive starters plus backups. All 3 LB's, both S's, 2 DT's, 1 DE.

* Developing those 5 star recruits:
Which DE was the SEC Defensive PoW for Week 4, was it some clown-cock?
BUCK (DE/LB) Dante Fowler Jr 6-3 266 Soph ***** was named SEC Def. PoW.

2 Forced Fumbles, one recovered, 1 sack, and 3 tackles for loss.

And on the other DE the Gators have Jonathan Bullard 6-3 270 So *****,
he's the other half of the Gator's 'Bash Brothers' DE combo. Unlike having a
single clown, you can double team one of them, but not both of them.....

Clowney has only played 63% of South Carolina's defensive snaps this season.
Opponents are averaging 5.9 yards per play with Clowney on the field.
While opponents are only averaging 4.8 ypp when he's on the bench.

I like the Gators SEC Week 5 Def. PoW - DE/LB D.Fowler 6-3 266 4.6/40.

17 Tkl's, 13 U-A, 7 Tkl for loss, 3 Sacks, 2 FF's, 1 recovered. He's only a
tSoph and Muschamp says that he's a joy to coach.

On the 'BIG DEAL' fact/stat of the week: Blog Brilliance at it's best!

Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray claimed the SEC's career passing yards

lead last week against Tennessee. He's closing in on two more career marks.

With 11,908 yards of career total offense, Murray is 324 yards behind Tim

Tebow's SEC record (12,232). And with 109 career touchdown passes, he's

five behind Danny Wuerffel's SEC record of 114.

~ JUST KEEP IN MIND THAT BOTH TEBOW & WUERFFEL ONLY

STARTED FOR 3 SEASONS WORTH OF GAMES, NOT EVERY

GAME FOR 4 SEASONS LIKE MURRAY HAS....

Danny Wuerffel 1993-96 - 4 SEC-C's, 1 mNC, Heisman & Draddy

Tim Tebow 2006-09 - 2 SEC-C's and 2 BCS-NC's. 1st Soph Heisman - Campbell

Aaron Murray 2010-13 - 0 SEC-C's, 0 NC's, No Heisman, ?? Campbell

Murray is one of 50+ named to the 2013 Campbell Trophy Finalist list.

The Draddy, now the Campbell Trophy, is known as the Academic Heisman.
