Priority OT target Tristan Leigh returned to Baton Rouge over the weekend, his 4th visit overall trip and his second consecutive weekend around LSU's campus.

Last weekend was the "Tiger Turnout" with a large group of other top prospects and families, this time was more about Leigh and his family. It was the first time in Baton Rouge for his sister, Kaitlin, and his girlfriend, Maya. Leigh is very family oriented, so it was important for everyone close to him to see a place he's considering.

"We spent a lot of time in the community just getting a feel in the area," said Laura Rigney, Tristan's mom.

They did have one problem as the trip wrapped up, though. After a "great" weekend with "a lot" of food, the group's flight home from New Orleans was cancelled so they had to rent a car and drive back to Fairfax, Virginia.

Leigh is not expected to make a decision anytime soon.

"He hasn't decided anything yet," Rigney previously told TigerDetails, adding, "We are hoping that recruiting will open back up."

The dead period was extended until Sept. 30. The NCAA created the dead period in March because of the coronavirus pandemic. It has been in place ever since.

At this point in the process, you have to like LSU's odds of landing Leigh. I put a FutureCast in on him to LSU back in June when we heard he might be getting close to deciding. I'm more confident in my pick to LSU today than I was the day I put the FC in.
