recently because of the excitement over the portal commitments is the fact that Baylor yesterday was a 1 point favorite over LSU in the bowl and the ruling by the Supreme Court on the Vanderbilt QB’s eleligibility.
I presume Baylor being a 1 point favorite is due to the fact that 4 members of the OL and several other players will not play. I am not sure I believe it but Baylor has been successful at the end of the season winning its last 6 games.
The court decision was that the QB’s play in junior college did not count toward his elegibility. What’s a little scary is that it was a violation due to anti trust violations because it deprived him of the opportunity to earn NIL another year. So what comes next? Does a person who enters the portal claim he did not get a proper chance to earn a good NIL. You could wind up with players not being good enough to get drafter by the NFL but good enough playing 5 or 6 or more years.
