Ed Orgeron joined the WWL Radio crew Wednesday night to discuss camp. Here's a few highlights from the interview

- Orgeron says Glen Logan "will be out for a while, he re-injured an injury " during light drills. Neil Farrell lost 10 lbs and has stepped up along with Joe Evans. Maason Smith and Jaquelin Roy have done "really well in the middle." Says Bryce Langston is coming along and he expects the DL to be good thanks to the depth, talent and attacking style they play with.

- WRs have to catch 10,000 balls this summer, Koy Moore has already caught 12,000, per Orgeron, and I believe it. Koy has a tremendous, tremendous worth ethic. I've seen that first hand with his brother training him. Hell, before they could afford cones they would use trash or coke bottles and cans as markers. There's no stopping that kid from working.

- Brian Thomas Jr. had two or three touchdowns early in camp. Calls Malik Nabers "very impressive," and Deion Smith had a touchdown the other day too. Says all the freshmen WRs will get a chance to earn playing time or start, including Chris Hilton. Says it's the best freshmen WR group he's EVER been around. Mentions Jack Bech too who catches "everything in sight."

- Says Kole Taylor is weighing 250 right now and expect Jack Mashburn, a walk-on, to play too.

- Says the intensity of the OL has picked up since the addition of coach Brad Davis

- Orgeron says Jared Small is physical, smart, can run to the ball and as of right now, "he's one of our starting linebackers."

- Major Burns has been impressive with his open-field tackling abilities. Orgeron calls Sage Ryan a great athletic and returner. He can play nickel and/or safety.

- Cade York is in the zone and they have a lot of confidence in him as a kicker. Avery Atkins and Peyton Todd are battling. Atkins is the starting punter right now but Todd is an outstanding athlete and they like how the ball comes off his foot. Trey Palmer, Koy Moore, Sage Ryan were the names he mentioned about the return game.

- O said freshman running back Armoni Goodwin is really "looking good" right now, added that Corey Kiner had a "big, physical" play earlier this week.
