-- "I was happy for our fans, but most of all I was happy for our players. Like I said, they practiced hard last week. They wanted to win. They wanted to represent the purple and gold." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron on beating #Florida

-- Ed Orgeron on his/LSU's confidence going into that Florida game. "I just felt like four days in a row we had great practices." "They wanted to beat Florida. We were not very pleased with the performance against Kentucky. We had a bad taste in our mouth we wanted to get rid of."

-- Orgeron asked about the opportunity for fans to do #Florida's Gator-chomp back at the Gators in wins like 2019 or this past week: "Our players love it. Our fans love it. It was good to see 'em having fun."

-- Orgeron reiterates the impact of Glen Logan's return in stuffing the middle against #Florida... and the Tigers' eye discipline to not get beat on play-action, wheel routes, etc.

-- "They were anxious to prove themselves," #LSU coach Ed Orgeron says of Cordale Flott moving outside, Sage Ryan debuting at nickel, etc.

-- "I felt like we were always under control. I felt like our coaches did a tremendous job — that we made some mistakes, but we came to the sideline and we fixed 'em." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron

-- Orgeron says he thought Neil Farrell Jr. could've been the Tigers' MVP with his play on defense.

-- Orgeron says he thought Damone Clark & Micah Baskerville played well together... and the performance of the defensive line freed them up to run sideline-to-sideline to make those plays.

-- "Well, Corey Raymond wasn't happy going into halftime. There was a lot of butt-chewing going on, I promise you that. "But those guys came out the second half, we knew we had to start fast. And Dwight McGlothern's gonna be an excellent corner." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron

-- More from #LSU coach Ed Orgeron on young cornerback Dwight McGlothern: "He's 6-2, has great feet, he's a great young man. I'm glad he's getting all these snaps this year as a young player. Watch out in a couple years. I think he has a chance to be a first-round draft choice."

-- Orgeron heading to #OleMiss: "We understand the task at hand. We have the utmost respect for Lane Kiffin and his football team. They're a very good football team. But, you know what, our team is gaining confidence in running the football & stopping the run. We've got some guys back up front that are healthy on the offensive line. And they are confident that they can run the football. And they're gonna have to run the football this Saturday to keep the ball away from his offense."

-- Orgeron says Maason Smith healthy and "a great young freshman that's gonna be an All-American here."

-- Orgeron says he doesn't think the Tigers will be without any additional players because of new injuries. So about as healthy as they could be heading into the final game before the bye & hopefully get some more guys healed up for November.

-- Orgeron talks about turning to 12 Jumbo package and trying to find an identity running the football with star WR Kayshon Boutte injured. "We thought that could give us an identity, and boy did it!"

-- Orgeron again recounting the backstory of his relationship with Pat Mashburn and nephew Jack Mashburn, now a tight end for the Tigers. "(Jack) was a big key part of our running success on Saturday."

-- Orgeron asked about rewarding Jack Mashburn with his first career reception Saturday. Jokes, "I told him don't get used to it!"

-- Orgeron asked about playing Jack Bech & Jack Mashburn together. "Sometimes, and sometimes they'll be separate. It all depends on the plays that we're running. Two great young players."

-- "Jack Bech is an outstanding young freshman. I love to see him play. Everything he does is full speed. He's a great team player & what an outstanding asset to our football team." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron

-- Fan warns #LSU coach Ed Orgeron: "I want you to watch out for those trick plays from Lane Kiffin, 'cause you know he's slick about that."

-- "We ran basically one play — that counter trap — and (Tyrion Davis-Price) was very, very patient. He let the guys get their blocks. He was very patient. He made some great cuts. But when he ran the football, he ran with authority." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron

-- Orgeron asked about goal line call to Jaray Jenkins. "I've gotta give credit to Jake Peetz. He called the play. He said, 'Coach, you wanna run it?' I said, 'It's your call.'" Says he had his fingers crossed about throwing it, but also credit to Max Johnson on great play.

-- Orgeron asked to compare & contrast Lane Kiffin's spread offense vs. the Tigers' in 2019 or now. "He runs the ball a bit more... He's more of a wheel, sluggo, kind of sets everything up with the run."

-- Orgeron makes sure to praise Ed Ingram for his performance to help the Tigers' establish that running game Saturday.

-- #LSU fan Evil Twin says he left Tiger Stadium "so happy, I felt like those people that were hoarding toilet paper during the pandemic, sitting on the throne & smelling like a rose, while Florida was stinking the whole damn place up in their sissy blue shirts."

-- Ed Orgeron asked about #LSU's offensive line improvement. "I think it took a little while. They got a new coach. The offensive line, they've gotta have consistency. They've gotta be doing the same thing as a team. Those five have gotta work as a team, communication, technique. They had a new offensive line coach come in July, who's a great offensive line coach, but he's teaching's just a little bit different. It takes a while to get used to. And then we don't have a whole offensive line to practice together until two weeks ago. So I think it's a combination of that and then us finding the plays that we can run well with our tailbacks and work in tandem. And you saw we ran the counter play. We must've ran it 25 times. And those guys did an excellent job."

-- Orgeron asked about dynamic of game-planning against a coaching friend like #OleMiss coach Lane Kiffin with whom there's so much familiarity. "This is a completely different offense than what we had at USC."

-- Orgeron reiterating the importance of the Tigers' eye discipline on defense for wheel routes, pop passes, etc. Says Lane Kiffin will look at the explosive plays opponents have hit LSU for this season & try to find ways to capitalize in similar ways.

-- Orgeron talks about #OleMiss going to a 3-3-Stack defense that is very multiple and can bring blitzes the Tigers have to be prepared for. "We're gonna have to run the football very effectively."

-- "I think our guys understand that this is a big game for Ole Miss. We're playing at their place. It's gonna be loud. But we like that." — #LSU coach Ed Orgeron

-- Orgeron asked about hitting the road. "We're going to beautiful Tupelo, Miss., for the second time. We're gonna stay in the Holiday Inn up there and have us a blast."

-- More from #LSU coach Ed Orgeron on facing Lane Kiffin (1/2): "We were pro style. We huddled up. They don't huddle up. They hurry up. I mean, this is the fasted offense. He ran 105 plays last week. The guy's a dynamic play-caller. Monte Kiffin was his daddy. He was born with a football in his hand. He's a very smart football coach, one of the brightest minds in football today."

-- Orgeron on #OleMiss QB Matt Corral as a running threat, too: "You're gonna have to get after him. You have to get after him, and you have to hit him early and hit him fast. And then you have to be in your pass-rush lanes & not let him run the football on us & not give him a lot of time to throw the football deep."
