For me the one I never had high expectations for was Steven Ridley. If I recall correctly, foot speed was a big knock on him coming out of high school, and neither Ole Miss nor Miss State offered him. But boy, did that guy turn out to be an absolute beast. I was dead wrong.
As a bonus, I'll probably never get over Charles Deas not qualifying from the 2006 class. Who can forget this suit?
