is how can Alabama be a 3 point dog to Lsu and still be the prohibitive favorite to win the sec west(at something like even money where Lsu is about 3 to 1).Alabama has to be a horrible bet in that senerio
because they play the next two. best sec teams on the road as well(Tenn and Ole Miss-and throw in Arkansas).
Lsu draws easy Missouri at home as well as rebuilding Auburn on the road. The win totals on Lsu and Bama are the same at (10),but the scheduling dynamics heavily favor Lsu.
Tenn is so strong this year, there win total is at 10 as well and that includes a date with Bama. This is probably a 9-3 Tide team this year(breaking in a newbie at qb) that loses to Tenn,Lsu and maybe Southern Cal.They can't count Arky and Ole Miss in the win columns this year either. The problem with the Bama schedule this year is that they get the home games they could have won on the road(State and Auburn). The home games they needed(Tenn<Lsu,Ole Miss, and Arky) are all on the road.
