I knew it was going to be a long night. Harris looked shell shocked and our OL couldn't block my grandma, much less Bama. Folks keep talking about the talent difference in this game. I completely disagree! This is 100% coaching, period. Name me one adjustment that we made at halftime, just one?
Who in the heck thought we would really have success downhill running against that front seven? No one did... We should have thrown the first 10 plays in a row on offense and completely confused Bama.. Yet we had 2 weeks to prep and install a gameplan that made sense, but we didn't see that. We saw the exact same stubborn plan, with zero flexibility for adjustments.. How about some spread option? How about some formations with Guice and LF in the backfield? How about some TE throws?
I'm not surprised this happened at all, and that's what sad.. I want to be surprised... I'm a Tiger for life, but my passion and excitement continues to take big hits while we play in Outback bowls.
