i was 31 at the time and was actually getting ready to leave my house in Little Rock on a business trip, flying to Houston (Was going to watch the Astros play that evening) then fly to Dallas the next day for a meeting (Yankees vs Rangers next night). My father in law called (who wasn’t a daily business traveler like myself) and said “They shut all the airports down, if you were going anywhere today, you aren’t going.” I thought he had lost his mind, I turned on the TV just before the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower. It was surreal.
Also had tickets to the Train - Matchbox 20 concert at Alltel in LIT that Friday and it was cancelled and then was going to the LSU - Auburn game in BTR on Saturday and it was canceled as well.
I still refer to the 4 events that I missed as the “Pinnacle of Entertainment That Never Happened”
