Well, I was surprised to learn the Winter Olympics closed yesterday. I am pretty sure I didn't watch one minute.
Not sure what that says, for me or for the country or for the world, but the things that I used to enjoy, the things I held in high regard, the things that stirred interest and patriotism now fail me. I don't really care all that much about TeamUSA. I never thought I would write those words. I guess because we live in a world where there are no adverse consequence for Eileen Gu or NBC. Maybe because the athletes or the networks themselves are rarely all that patriotic I fail to see the patriotism in supporting them by watching.
Anyone else feel this way? Anyone else want to see Gu shunned? Anyone else hope NBC loses billions on these Olympics?
Signed,
Crank
