having 2 key SEC contests right out of the gait will obviously be critical to the 2015 season. My take on how these 2 unfold.

Miss. St in Starkville.
I see LSU as a very slim favorite on the road. The Bulldog faithful will be fired up for their SEC opener at home. They still remember the whipping that they put on LSU in Baton Rouge. Confidence won't be lacking. Dak Prescott is still be best player in the SEC vs the LSU QBs , this is a huge advantage at the most important position on the field. This will the first real test of Kevin Steele as a DC.

Auburn in BR.
If LSU beats MSU they"ll be a slim Fav over those other Tigers. A loss in Starkville means underdog . Jeremy Johnson will have his first SEC road test . Will Muschamp , like Steele , will have his first big test. Will they both be up to it ? Auburn is preseason pick to win the SEC. Speaking of remembering an ass whipping from last year.

Predictions. 1-1. Splitting would still leave LSU in position to win the SEC west. A double win and they would be in the driver's seat. A 2 loss start and we can start thinking about 2016.
