With Big 10 about to go to 18 teams, it may make sense for SEC to match, say with Clemson and FSU. We could then go back to the two division format but not based on geography. Division 1: LSU, ALA, AU, TENN, OM, MSU, UGA, UF and Vandy. Division 2: Aggies, OKU, UT, CLEM, FSU, MO, KEN, USC, and Arky. Essentially, this puts the old guard in one division and the newbies in the other. Only exception is KEN. There would be no cross-division play and we would stay with the 8-game conference schedule. This would preserve all the SEC traditional rivalries and even retain or resume some in the other division. Divisions would be pretty balanced too.

Just a thought.
