  • Love the continuity among the offensive staff. Guys like himself, Cortez Hankton, Frank Wilson and Brad Davis have all been working together for a while, and he feels it helps carry over to the players.
  • Says they have an unbelievable group of tight ends, even without Markway. Thinks Pimpton has grown a lot and Green is making great strides right away. Thinks it's one of the most exciting groups on the team.
  • Garrett Nussmeier processes info super quickly and has a massive arm to make any throw. Says he always had the talent, but where he's really improved is in his process. He's learning to be the guy and how he can improve day-to-day.
  • Says with their depth, they are able to run pretty much every set they want. They can run so many different formations with their receivers, tight ends and running backs. Thinks they can do more things this year than last year.
  • Everyone saw what Kaleb Jackson could do last season. He was incredibly hard to tackle and can run over people, but they needed to see him grow mentally. Understanding where he's supposed to go, how to read defenses and how to be better in pass protection, and they think he's done a great job of that.
  • Thinks their offensive line is special. They have some elite talent who have played together for a long time. Thinks one of the most exciting things about them is that they can coach up the young offensive linemen who are going to take over next season.
  • With helmet communication, he thinks it's great, but they need to have a backup plan for calling plays without it. Says the positive thing about having Nuss at QB is that he's used to getting plays without the helmet comm, but it can still throw you off in the moment.
  • Thinks having IPads on the sideline is awesome. They don't have to go and ask their players if they think they saw something, they can just sit down and look at the replays and figure out adjustments quicker.
  • They had a massive offensive playbook last year, so they didn't really have to start from scratch in redesigning the offense this year. They've tinkered with some stuff, but they've had the ability to do most things they're going to do this year.
