Seth Greenberg on the Mike and Mike show talking about the refusal of participating in the NIT. His take was that this shouldn't be a decision by a player or players. That it hurts LSU basketball in recruiting and that if BS had gone to a bigger basketball school that he would have been insulated from the criticisms he seems to be getting. All this of course is not surprising and not good. LSU basketball has been set back and next year looks bleak to me. I'm not very knowledgeable in basketball but this sounded devastating to me. I was initially happy with the JJ hire, but from what I've seen this year he was unable to make the team gell. One other point made by Greenberg was that the team did not play to BS this year. In other words they didn't always play through him but actually at times played away from him (or something to that affect). Very interesting observations. I'm not saying I agree with all them just relaying what I heard.
