LSU should never be a double digit underdog!!

LSU being a double digit underdog is an utter disgrace, This team will go into Saturday night with that ridiculous 12 point underdog chip on its shoulder. LSU is one of the elite programs in the nation as well as recruiting the most talented and athletic players (of course mostly in Louisiana) and to be that big of an underdog is clearly a joke. Les Miles i hope will put that on every players locker as motivation because this is not just a game... LSU needs to make a statement on Saturday night, but... only Bama fans really think a 12 point spread is spot on.

No....its not bammer.... its Gump!!!! and i just want to say to all the non believers who got us a double digit dog... "thank you" this is what this team needed. Motivation is a powerful thing and LSU only loss 2 games by a combined 6 points so... dont let that so called 13th ranking fool you because we are better than that and it will be proven in gumpville Saturday night!!! We have played Georgia, Florida while you guys have played Kentucky and Tennessee and we will not give up 42 points to A&m when they come to Death Valley. Crimsonite the worse thing about you is your swelled head and coming to respond to every comment tells me... Do you have a life? are you a stuck up teenager because if you are a grown man coming to this board responding to every comment in defense of your gump team then i think you have too much time on your hands lol.

It will finally be made clear to all that Les Miles has been in way over his head pretending to coach an elite football program. This will be the mother load of all Les Miles' Rain Man moments.


The pressure is way too high for Miles, and he will completely melt down this Saturday. You heard it here first. ;-)

Les Miles coaching future should be at stake for this game, if LSU gets blown out... i think its in LSU best interest to pursue another coach but... if LSU wins i think that probably saves his job. The line is established LONG before a nickle is bet, Harpo. Simply by the rep of each team. The line may change, but very little by where the money is going, Harpo. Most of any big changes comes from big injuries/events happening game week.

Did you know that in Vegas early Sunday evening the houses put out an unofficial early line and allow bettors who will bet at least 500 dollars to see that line and it never sees the light of day. The underwriters use those 50 or so people they allow to bet as a measuring stick since those bettors are very sharp fans and the underwriter then judges from the action of those select fews to make the official line. I listened to a guy from one of the big Vegas houses on WWL one night talk about how the line is made. He said if the small group bets heavliy on one team, then the official line reflects that opinion.

Once the line is published, he said, if it moves more than two points it reflects a poor line and early in a season some fans who really follow teams know things the handicappers do not but as the season progresses, the line gets much better and the houses make more money.

In short, gambling in Vegas is a billion dollar industry and not subject to fans desires and fears, but the result of intelligent lines designed to maximize profit for the houses by splitting the bets. they use things like laying off bets to make the most profit for each house.

They do not build multi million dollar casinos on sentiment.
