I have spent some time around Rome over the last couple of weeks. I have been up to their school three times and I have talked to Griffin a little, but I have spent more time with those close to the players and program.

- LSU was not showing a lot of interest in Griffin up until about the past month or so. Griffin told me they have picked it up.
- Appalachian State is LSU's biggest competition RIGHT NOW. That could change, but that is what I am hearing. It goes along with what Griffin told me on record about 5-6 weeks ago.
- Appalachian State is recruiting him the hardest. Multiple coaches hit him up on a regular basis.
- He is planning to visit Appalachian State and LSU in November.
- Official visits will take place after the season.
- Griffin is not one who cares about the ACC/SEC or whatever... He just wants to go where he feels he is wanted and can make a big impact. That is according to him and those close to him.
- Talking to Griffin, it sounds a little better for LSU than it does when I talk to others close to him. He said it is now LSU on top, then Appalachian State.
- He has recently started to talk to Cincinnati and NC State.
