The NCAA dead period didn't stop some of the top recruits in the country from traveling to LSU for the weekend with their families, and from all indications it seems like everyone had a great time.

As previously stated, this was almost completely organized by Nussmeier and his parents, who rented a house for the recruits to stay at Saturday night after a group outing to Ruffino's for dinner followed by Top Golf fun.
They also ate at Walk-On's and Raising Cane's, which is apparently a hotspot for Leigh. Speaking of Leigh, he WILL be back in town next week with his family and girlfriend. Next weekend's trip has been planned for months, according to his mom.
Also, Sage Ryan was in town, but he also spent time with current LSU freshman, Kayshon Boutte, who is from the same area as Ryan.
2022 LSU commitment Shone Washington, 2021 Arizona State commit Gharin Stansbury, 2021 Northwestern commit Barryn Sorrell and 2022 LB Kailep Edwards also spent time Saturday around campus with the group.
Some thought Walker WR Brian Thomas Jr. would maybe show up to the rental house to hang out with the group, but a source close to the situation tells me "he did not" show up. My FutureCast is still on Thomas to LSU right now.
