There has been some chatter about LSU adding a highly rated TE in this '19 class. If they do, the name to know is 4-star Florida TE Keon Zipperer.
Just chatted with him and I'll post an update in the AM, but he is very high on LSU. Coach John Decoster and Ed O are tag-teaming this, and he likes that the HC is taking a personal approach. He sees a chance to make an impact right away w\ Moreau graduating, and LSU believes he could do just that given the thin, unproven talent at tight end right now.
He just took an OV to Alabama and will head to LSU on Dec. 1. Then Florida Dec. 7 and Miami Dec 14. He said he is wide open to leaving the Sunshine State and I'd put LSU is that mix with UF and Miami over Alabama.
If LSU knocks the official visit out of the ballpark, I think it could be Zipperer taking McClendon's spot in this '19 class. Otherwise, McClendon is a good safe plan at TE.
