Yes , Cory Raymond has recruited several highly rated DBs but the 2017 group will have to come from a green , unproven , untested collection of contenders with lots of question marks .
IMO the secondary is my unit of greatest concern .

John Battle Sr . Played well when called on to replace injured Ricky Jefferson . At 207 he's a bit
undersized . He'll be the elder statesman of a very young group
Cameron Lewis .Soph Saw time on STs but very little action at safety
Savion Smith Soph . The next coming saw some PT but like all true Fr was victimized at times
Monroe RS Fr . Sat out 2016 recovering from surgery . Another talented kid with no PT in 2016
The true Fr trio : Stevens , Delpit and Harris ( maybe). All highly touted but will be raw freshmen
Can Aranda find 2 top SEC safeties from this group ? The position where you don't want inexperienced players is safety

Donte Jackson Jr . Was picked on in 2016 because White was opposite him . Played OK but
is still a work in progress . Needs to progress a lot if he's to be the next great LSU CB.
Ed Paris Sr . Did see action in 2016 but his career has been a disappointment to date considering
the hype . 2017 is now or never
Kevin Tolliver Jr . Injuries , dog house . Whatever the reason 2016 was a waste considering the 5
* talent . 2017 must be his year to either turn things around or else
Xavier Lewis Soph. Another CB who saw little live action. Can he compete for the job in 2017
Tristan Fulton Soph . Another highly rated CB who needs to become the starting CB . Needs to
get in the weight room and develop the body of an SEC CB
Greedy Williams RS Fr . Will see first game action in 2017
