Less of a joke, than it may seem,.. a few unofficial advisors.
Hire Obama as a personal, senior advisor.
Pay him an enormous salary, he would be a perfect OC.
... just so these guys, can keep in close touch.
Appoint "Bernie" to some important staff position.
Head of the "Department of Interior", perhaps.
Bernie's Nation is a great group,.. they need to be addressed. And they would love to flock and take control of Federal Lands. They would make a strong, motivated, workforce. Bernie would be a strong voice for Preservation. A great fit for all sides. Trump solves two problems, at one turn. Immediately addressing the "healing process" of a split electorate, by carving a place for Bernie Nation in the equation, Trump would start his Presidency in the right direction.
Vocal, "Bernie" malcontents, would turn into environmentalists with clout. Have a say in "society" and get paid well for services rendered. Bernie Nation would prosper and have a real say in environmental issues.

With Bernie in charge of a Department, Trump gets an excellent politician, to stir the pot.... as well as, Trump immediately increases, his power base, winning over disenfranchised Democrats. Trump can stoke the Bernie fire, have access to Obama, as a chief advisor, make a profitable arrangement, for all concerned.
President Trump, clearly states, he will hire the best. BO and BS excel in their fields. The incoming POTUS,.. would benefit from taking a few lessons from Barack, just have Obama assigned a s some sort of personal secretary, a front man, that you would look at every fifteen minutes or so. President Obama is the epitome of how a President should deport themselves.
President Trump, would have a constant reminder on how to appear Presidential. BO has that down to a tee! Trump can look Barack in the face a few dozen times a day,.. reminding him, on the fine points of how not to look like a clown.
