Four-star offensive tackle Micah DeBose decommitted from Georgia on Dec. 22. LSU is among the seven programs pushing for DeBose.

“Not a lot of schools were into me (a year ago, when he committed) like they are right now,” DeBose told national recruiting analyst John Garcia Jr. “I have to take my time, because it will be a long journey.”

Texas A&M pledge and LSU target Dominick McKinley, who will sign in February, is rated the No. 1 unsigned defensive player for the Class of 2024. McKinley received a home visit from LSU staff members two weeks ago as he continues to evaluate his options following the coaching changes at Texas A&M.

According to national recruiting analyst Adam Friedman, McKinley will visit LSU on Jan. 12 and Tennessee on Jan. 19. Texas, Oklahoma and Syracuse are also pushing for the Texas A&M pledge, who is looking to build a stronger relationship with the Aggies’ staff.

Terry Bussey, the second-best unsigned offensive player, is in a similar situation. The Texas A&M pledge is signing in February as LSU continues to be a threat to flip the five-star athlete. Alabama and USC are also pushing for him.

Class of 2025 target Solomon Thomas committed to Florida State on Dec. 22. The four-star offensive guard received an offer from LSU on Aug. 2 and posted one of the “You’re Next” graphics Wednesday.

On the basketball front, Class of 2025 shooting guard Shon Abaev told Death Valley Insider that he talked over the phone with the LSU staff a few weeks ago. The four-star didn’t have anything major to note, but he said he’ll relay his next conversation with the staff to us.
