Game 1: #1 LSU (36-8, 15-5 SEC) vs. #42 Auburn (25-18-1, 9-12 SEC)
Gents, time for our Tigers to go for our third straight SEC series sweep and increase our SEC 7-game winning streak (longest since 2017). As with bama and ole miss, Auburn is much better than their record and standing in the SEC indicates. The series is on the road (an always tough Plainsman Park atmosphere), Auburn is #36 in RPI (basically top-10 percent), have played the #8 strength of schedule, and have been competitive in most of their recent SEC loses (4 recent 1-run loses).
With Arkansas sweeping A&M last weekend, we hold just a 1.5 game lead in the SEC West and are tied with Vandy for 1st overall in the SEC standings.
Like the last two weekends, Skenes needs to set the tone for the weekend and Tanks and The Crews Missile need to keep our lineup motivated. Crush auburn for three straight days and continue to build an insurmountable lead in the SEC West!!! Let’s continue with that Championship confidence and mentality just like the ’91 Team!!! Just Like Jordan!!! Just like Woods!!! Just like Gretzky!!! Just like Brady!!! Just like Maddux!!! Let's Geaux Tigers!!!
