While Cotton, et. al. have had a lot of angst over the "flips" what has been lost in the shuffles is LSU's damn strong 2024 class. I always judge a class by star average, imo bonus points for certain players can certainly skewer the rankings ; the preceding is how rivals massages the rankings. A star average above 3.5 is a solid class , anything above 3.7 is outstanding. LSU's class is a 4.0 average star ranking which is awesome, only one other team has a higher star ranking of 4.1. LSU had 3 five stars, 3 three stars and 17 four stars. LSU has never had a class average star ranking this high.
Yea losing Underwood sucked, but this 2024 class is full of talent at most every position.

Does anyone think they might move Breaux back to DE with Savion Jones leaving and the cupboard somewhat bare with edge players? This kid can play anywhere and was originally a DE before being moved to DT. That would give them the option of recruiting a DT to replace him if DE recruits and edge rushers are hard to come by. It also gives them a decent starting front 4 of b Breaux, McKinley, Guillory and Reliford. They would still need to recruit depth at DE and DT from the portal, but would give them more options..

Seems LSU is getting a little thin at the Safety position

This guy played on a bad Purdue team ; but considered by many being a Top 5 Safety in the Nation

One of Purdue's top defenders over the last two seasons could head elsewhere to continue his collegiate career, as sophomore safety Dillon Thieneman plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
In his sophomore season, he tallied 104 total tackles, including five tackles for loss, while leading the team with seven passes defended. He was also top five nationally with 70 solo tackles to pace the Boilermakers once again. Had 6 INT's Freshman year.

This was to be expected, but it's not official. He said he wants to be on the sidelines helping the young guys out. Honestly, I think this is best case scenario. Gives Tyree Adams/Paul Mubenga/Weston Davis/whoever else opportunity for more reps against a good defense.

I have to throw you an apology. From what I'm hearing about Sloan, you've been right all along. Great recruiter, good QB coach - but sucks as OC and no one likes the dude. He needs to be replaced ASAP.

With the new playoff format these conference title games should be done away with . Now they are nothing but a money grab

For 6 of the 8 participants the outcome had little impact as the 3 losers got in

Conference championships could be awarded to the team with the best record during the season

Eliminating these game the playoff could be started earlier

Teams have additional risk o f star players getting injured

Some teams, Indiana and Tennessee, benefited by missing out on this extra game

With the college game now in full throttle professional mode will the next step be players aren’t required to be students

No class attendance required , no GPA no course load required

When some athlete drags the NCAA to court challenging academic requirements will they win their case claiming that their ability to earn a living is being hurt
