RECRUITING No. 2 WBB recruit in 2024 class announcing her commitment at 4:45pm CT

Joyce Edwards, 6'2 forward out of Camden High School (SC), is the No. 2 ranked WBB prospect in the 2024 recruiting class. She's set to announce her commitment today at 4:45 CT. Her top three schools include Clemson, South Carolina and LSU. Mulkey and the Tigers are fighting against two teams in her home state, but we saw her land multiple recruits outside of Louisiana last cycle.

I will provide an update once she announces her commitment, so check back this afternoon for more info.

LSU BASKETBALL WBB Post Game Press Conference

Mikaylah Williams and Aneesah Morrow
  • Mikaylah Williams' 42 points was the most by a freshman in LSU history
  • Annesah Morrow's nine steals is tied for the third most in a single game in LSU history.
  • Morrow had a 2 minute span where she had 3 steals, 2 blocks and 6 points. Said she knows she's an undersized big, so she works extra hard on defense to make up for it.
  • Mikaylah said it was awesome to play in front of all the kids today because she was a little kid in Louisiana who looked up to LSU WBB.
  • Says her high school career high was 34, so she broke that tonight.
Kim Mulkey
  • Loved what she saw from Aneesah on defense in the second half. Said she gave the team the jump start she needed.
  • Says Mikaylah Williams can score from anywhere. Says she's been on her because she's so talented, but doesn't know how good she can actually be.
  • Says Kent State's ability to hit the three ball is what kept them in it in the first half. Says they're really well coached and they compete with some great teams the past few years. Thought LSU gave up way too many points, and she caught herself just watching the track meet instead of being a coach at points.
  • Felt Kent State was giving them some trouble on the boards. They were losing the rebound battle for a while but came back and won it 40-30.
  • Falu'jae plays with a bunch of joy. Says she has a good heart and her happiness spreads to others even when she's having a bad game. Said she had the flu.
  • Says one of the best things about Mikaylah Williams is her consistency. She does everything well and even when she makes mistakes, she battles back.
  • Feels Mikaylah has the personality to handle being a star for this team.
  • Reemphasizes that Mikaylah doesn't even know how good she can be. Feels she just scratched the surface today.

LSU FOOTBALL Top (5) Individual LSU Seasons in the BCS Era (1998-2023)

gents, bored sitting in a 65% Model Review so I thought up an opinion question. What are your choices for the 5 best individual LSU Football seasons during the BCS Era (1998 to present)? Let's see some picks and I hope the moderators chime in as well. I was difficult to whittle down to 5 from my initial list, but my top 0-5 are as follows:

1) 2019 Joe Burrow
2) 2011 Tyrann Mathieu
3) 2023 Jayden Daniels
4) 2007 Glenn Dorsey
5) 2015 Leonard Fournette

others that came to mind: 2001 Josh Reed, 2003 Chad Lavalais, 2004 Ben Wilkerson, 2008 Tyson Jackson, 2010 Patrick Peterson, 2011 Morris Claiborne, 2018 Devin White, 2019 Grant Delpit, Justin Jefferson, and Ja'Marr Chase

LSU FOOTBALL Heisman BS

So the new odds are out right now on the Heisman race and Daniels is inexplicably 4th in the rankings. Ahead of him are Bo Nix as the HEAVY favorite (-150), then Penix (+250), then Marvin Harrison Jr. (+500) before we get to Daniels at (+800). Harrison should be a red herring imo, he's there because of his name recognition and Ohio State - after all, he's a WR who doesn't lead the nation in receiving (an LSU WR does that) or in TD's (another LSU WR does that), so whatever.

The two QB's ahead of him, on the other hand? Well, let's look at the comparative stats at this point:

Jayden Daniels
Passing:

195-273 (71.4%) for 3,164 yards (11.6 avg), 30 TD's 4 INT
Rushing:
114 for 918 (8.1 avg), 8 TD's
Totals:
4,082 yards, 38 TD's

Bo Nix
Passing:

258-332 (77.7%) for 3,135 yards (9.4 avg), 29 TD's 2 INT
Rushing:
38 for 121 (3.2 avg), 5 TD's
Totals:
3,256 yards, 34 TD's

Michael Penix
Passing:

249-366 (68.0%) for 3,533 yards (9.7 avg), 28 TD's 7 INT
Rushing:
20 for -27 (-1.4 avg), 2 TD's
Totals:
3,506 yards, 30 TD's

So Daniels has 300 yards and 8 TD's more than Penix and 500 yards and 4 TD's more than Nix with much better yards per attempt and yards per carry than either one of them... it's really not even close.

Either we're on the verge of the ultimate screw-job or you guys need to start dropping some wagers and rake in this free money.
