This one doesn’t surprise me like the Maurice Williams one. Zion was one of the first commits in the class and has continued to take additional OVs. However, he never camped at any of the numerous camps or stopped by even throughout June. It feels like the writing was on the wall with this one.

That being said, LSU still has additional options at CB including Cai Bates who was on an OV in Baton Rouge this weekend and Ehret’s Wardell Mack, who could either a CB or S.

Thought this was interesting, especially since it wasn't the final.


It bugs me that Florida won the SEC without having to face LSU and that it could win a national title without having to face Wake Forest OR Skenes.

...put up 5 runs against LSU in 3+ games when it mattered most. Guess a gaudy record playing that ACC schedule in a dinky little hitter's park don't pass muster after all.

Tommy Tanks was due, and he got his due. Whatever happens from here on out, this team has done itself proud and presented a great deal to build upon for the future.

BIG weekend at LSU for several coaches but none bigger than Brad Davis, who hosted OVs with Weston Davis, Ethan Calloway and Blake Ivy.

Sounds like things might be trending in LSU’s direction with these two. Would be massive pickups considering the only OL commit in the class is currently Khayree Lee.

QB commit Colin Hurley was on hand once again to build those relationships with the OL and others on OVs such as Cam Coleman and Jelani Watkins.

I am close to putting in FC on both Calloway and Davis.

This was a surprising move since Maurice was just at LSU last weekend and everything seemed locked in. If y’all remember correctly, about a month or two ago I hinted at the possibility of him backing off his pledge but the coaches got wind and settled the situation down. He took a visit to Houston this weekend and LSU didn’t know about it until he was already there. A big no-no as a commit.
