With the understanding that there really isn't a big difference between a #2 and a #3 seed (except for the quality of your opposition, which IS a thing), any chance LSU is better off saving its pitching, giving back-ups some quality experience and letting these next two games go however they go? You don't want to upset the momentum you've got going and losing on purpose is never a good decision imo, but I feel like we do need to be thinking strategically here if we want to make a little run.

Now is a good time as any big fella to turn your season around. Would be absolutely huge for our post season if he can pitch well and build back his confidence.

LSU MBB hires David Patrick, former Sacramento State HC as its new associate HC.

He was previous at LSU from 2012-2016 on Johnny Jones’ staff.

The LSU Tigers beat No. 2 Kentucky, so they will now play the winner of Arkansas and South Carolina at 4:30pm Thursday night. Game will be on SEC Network. Finally not a 9:30 am start!

I see where 3 of our recruits are mocked to go in Rd 1 of the MLB draft. I know you have to take their commitment and hope they show up to campus. I feel like this happened with coach PM a lot where the highly ranked class would get gutted by the draft, while other teams got their really good, but not drafted high players to campus. Again, I’m not saying don’t recruit them or take a commitment cause anything could happen, but maybe have a plan for when it’s clear they will be picked in Rd 1. I know CJJ knows what he’s doing lol, just curious what’s y’all think?

I've got a few things I need to do around the house during the game, so I'll be able to update from time to time, but mainly wanted to open this up for y'all to talk and share your thoughts from the game.

Michael Braswell started things off with his second homer of the season. White and Jones both grounded out, Pearson walked and Travinski is up to bat. 1-0 Tigers.

Wow. Everyone should go read the lawsuit Rashada just filed Addis at Florida, Napier and boosters. What a sewer Napier and company are trying to run through collectives.
For everyone who thinks LSU and Kelly should throw caution to the wind and spend, spend, spend…this is exactly why they are very detailed in their moves.
I don’t see how Napier survives this…and through no real actions on Florida’s part, they got Miami drug into the fray as well.
I don’t think any of us have the complete picture of just how seedy recruiting currently is…and how many adults (on both sides) are manipulating these kids to enrich themselves.
These civil lawsuits are going to be the norm in the current format.

Alright, the Tigers play Kentucky tomorrow in round two of the SEC Tournament. It’s double elimination now, so here’s what their path will look like after tomorrow:

Win: with a win, LSU moves to the winners bracket and would play the winner of Arkansas (2) and South Carolina (10) at 4:30pm on Thursday

Loss: with a loss, LSU goes to the losers bracket and would play the loser of Arkansas and South Carolina at 9:30am Thursday. This would be an elimination game.

A little late, but the Tigers are already up 2-0 on UGA. Braswell and White singled and Jared Jones drew a walk to load the bases before Josh Pearson ripped a two-run single up the middle for the first two runs in the game. Travinski flew out and Milam walked to load the bases again with one out. UGA already going to the bullpen.
