I mentioned Chase Canada in a post two weeks ago, putting in a FutureCast to Charlotte. I flipped that prediction to Illinois earlier this week before Canada pledged to the Power Five program Saturday.

He visited for the Texas A&M game, but he didn’t receive an offer. There’s nothing more to really note here, but I thought I’d update y’all on a recent visitor.

It was reported yesterday that a judge in West Virginia ruled that any 2+ time transfer who was denied or awaiting word from the NCAA on their eligibility this season would be able to play immediately for the next 14 days....Well, that didn't last very long.

While players are still allowed to play, the NCAA said any of those players that play in this 14 day window will lose a season of eligibility if the ruling is overturned. This means if Jalen Cook plays against Texas on Saturday and the ruling is reversed, he would lose a season of eligibility.

This is a very intriguing situation as some players who were deemed ineligible by the NCAA played yesterday when the restraining order news was announced. Had they known they could lose a year of eligbility, they may not have.

This is just another case of the NCAA being stupid and unfair to their student athletes. There's a reason the fans, player and coaches hate the NCAA, but there's nothing anyone of us can do about it, so they keep doing whatever they want.

Vanderbilt quarterback AJ Swann entered his name into the transfer portal earlier this week and is set to visit LSU on Friday.

Swann has played two seasons at Vanderbilt, appearing in 15 games and throwing for 2,731 yards and 22 touchdowns to nine interceptions. Swann also visited Shane Beamer's South Carolina squad earlier this week.

We know LSU was in the running for MJ Morris before he committed to Maryland, so it looks like Brian Kelly and LSU are adamant on adding another arm to their quarterback room.

LSU DB Sage Ryan had entered him name into the transfer portal.

Ryan made the transition from safety to corner this season when Zy Alexander, Denver Harris and Deuce Chestnut were all unavailable. He had a shaky start to the year, but was one of the highest graded coverage defenders in the SEC down the stretch. A big loss for the Tigers in a position of need.

Courtney Crutchfield will announce his decision the day before early signing day Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His final four teams are Arkansas, Auburn, LSU and Mizzou.

Brian Kelly and LSU have offered Central Michigan safety Trey Jones.

Jones has one year of eligibility and has recorded 188 tackles, three interceptions and five pass breakups in 44 games during his time at Central Michigan.

Will Sheppard, native of Mandeville, Louisiana, has committed to Colorado. Sheppard is someone many thought could return home and play for LSU, but he's on his way to join Deion Sander's squad.
