RECRUITING Visitors List for LSU vs Arkansas

Another home game for LSU means another packed stadium and an opportunity for LSU to showcase what being a Tiger is all about for prospective recruits. LSU is expected to have another solid group of visitors on hand for Saturday night. He's a rundown of who we're expecting to make it in.

There's a few other notable names that may be in, but I didn't want to add them to the list because I haven't been able to confirm. If I'm able to confirm, I will update accordingly.

Timpson (TX) Rivals100 four-star prospect Terry Bussey is slated to be on campus this weekend prior to his Sept.28th announcement. Texas A&M has been getting all the buzz in regard to Bussey's recruitment but it's a big deal for the LSU staff to get the talented Texas prospect on campus to showcase Tiger Stadium prior to his announcement. Getting him in town for a night game under the lights is their opportunity to swing the tide back in their favor.

You might remember former Warren Easton standout Shone Washington from the class of 2022. He committed early to LSU in 2020 but would ultimately wind up signing with Georgia. He later transferred to Scooba (MS) East Mississippi Community College. He holds a recent offer from Colorado and will likely be looking to use this opportunity to get back into the mix with LSU.

2025 Uncommitted Prospects

One of the top five receivers for the class of 2025 will be making the trip over to Baton Rouge from Mississippi for Saturday's game. Cunningham is the No.1 ranked prospect in Mississippi and the fourth ranked receiver in the country. He's already been on campus multiple times including a trip earlier this summer.

2025 four-star receiver Koby Howard of Davie (FL) is expected to be in Baton Rouge this weekend. He's got a strong relationship with the staff over at Miami, which should be no surprise given his close proximity. He's fresh off a visit to Florida last weekend but LSU could position themselves in the mix with a strong visit to LSU this weekend.

One of the top QB targets for LSU in the class of 2025 is making the trip in from Brentwood (TN). Alabama is considered the team to beat here, so getting him on campus for a night game in Death Valley will do nothing to hurt the Tigers' chances in their pursuit of the top 25 overall prospect for 2025.

With recent visits to Oklahoma and Texas the Rivals four-star offensive tackle tells me he'll be making the trip to Baton Rouge with his family this weekend. He hit me up for a recommendation on where to eat before leaving Baton Rouge. I told him to check out Parrains (one of my favorite spots).

2026 standout Lamar Brown is no stranger to LSU. He's expected to be on hand for LSU's game against Arkansas as well making yet another albeit a very short trip to Tiger Stadium.

RECRUITING Recruiting Question??

Looking at our current commitment list, I see that we don't have any 5 star commits.

With that being said, is their player committed, that you think could possibly end up getting a fifth star, and why. You can name more than one if you believe they have that potential.

Me personally, I think it'll be Tre 'Dez Green. After transfer into Zachary, he has a better supporting cast that will allow him to hopefully maximize on his potential at the highest level in high school.

gents, just a pass the time question while I am stuck in a model review. who's gonna be #7? Check anyone you think gets in eventually based on career or projected career. The list includes anyone who has any kind of a shot. I had never heard of Charley Hennigan but he had quite the career in the 1960s. could be one of those veteran selections, I guess?

I could only put (10) choices so Ja'Marr Chase got left off (he'll be on soon). I couldn't leave Jefferson off, he's already the best receiver in the league. Comments and thoughts welcome.

My prediction for #7 is Whitworth. If he doesn't get in, Patrick Peterson is next.

LSU FOOTBALL Aaron Anderson …MIA

Anderson received much praise since transferring from Alabama and along with it great expectations

To date he has no rushing attempts , 6 receptions for 19 yds and his botched punt return in the opening game.

Hoping that the OC can figure ways to get him more involved as the season wears on

  • Injury update: Mason Taylor and Ovie are probable. Omar Speights is downgrade him to doubtful.
  • Felt like there's a lot of talent with the freshman tight ends who played against Mississippi State, but they have a lot of growing to do. Says they were in the same boat with Mason last year and he expects to see the same type of growth with these young guys.
  • Says the primary concern on defense this week is stopping Jefferson's running ability.
  • Thinks the defense is going to get better and better with each game. A lot of new faces and he feels the roles are starting to become much more consistent on that side of the ball.
  • Slowing down Arkansas' pass rushers will be a key for the offense. They lead the SEC in sacks, and with a new DC says they're not 100% sure what they're going to get, so they're preparing for a lot of different looks.
  • Says having a dual threat QB, emerging Oline and weapons on the outside allows him to feel comfortable going for it on fourth down. Has a confidence that his team can run or pass on fourth downs with success depending on the look the defense gives them.
  • Jimmy Lindsey is still in treatment and all reports are positive. No timeline for when he'll return to the team.

SEC Bama

Boys, I’m really liking what I’m seeing from this Bama team. All QB’s suck. All those 4&5* OL and DL are playing like 2*. Their WR’s are below average. BK going to go 2-0 vs NS as our coach. The SEC is ours if we continue improving.

3Q and Bama/S FLA are tied at 3, lol

So this also begs the question - how good is TX really? Chest pounding over beating BAMA is pretty meh. I put some coin on WY tonight against TX. I think it will be a lot closer than most believe.
